Fork prank leads to suspensions ›

Not trying to be outdone by the costumed banana dash through the hallways of Zion-Benton Township High School last year, about 23 students of the class of 2009 got suspended for a senior prank Monday morning.

They stuck more than 1,000 forks into the ground near the front entrance of the school along with a banner that read, “Stick a fork in it. We’re done. Seniors ‘09.”

The prank had been planned for about a week and the students — mostly senior girls — stuck the forks into the ground with the prongs facing up so they would be easier to remove without breaking off into the ground, she said.

Man, senior pranks are getting lamer and lamer.

A guy from my graduating class dumped his waverunner into the lake behind the school and rode around on it for a bit before the cops showed up.

And I think it took custodians a couple hours to figure out how to remove the giant papier mache penis from the top of the flag pole the next year.

But forks?
