I always kept my “beard” short, but I shaved with a razor for the first time since July this morning because I had a portfolio review to land a freelance gig with the local newspaper. I hope it’s another 7 months before one needs to touch my face again.

But I am now a stringer photographer for a number of suburban Chicago newspapers, so it was definitely worth going in looking like a 12-year-old.
