This Tweet of a dailymile post got me to sign up. I kind of got sick of posting maps of my ride anyway. I’ll still post bike stuff here, but DM seems like a better way of keeping tabs of my workouts.

Watching the Tour de France is a great reminder of just how lazy Americans are. Despite the couple thousand miles of road people can choose to line to watch through cities, mountain towns and the French countryside, you have people like this who decide they’re going to grab their bicycle and climb a mountain that is so tough it’s ranked as beyond classification in the Tour and is closed from November to June. Just to watch a bike race. A bike race that they could have watched pass by more than 6,000 feet lower.
