Hundreds of people lined up on the sidewalks at Columbus Drive and Illinois Street near the NBC Tower in downtown Chicago today to audition for a television show.
NBC Chicago’s Web site called for contestants for “The Biggest Loser,” a show that follows people competing to lose weight to come to the NBC Tower between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. today. For most of the day, crowds snaked around the corner from the building at 454 N. Columbus Drive, onto Illinois Street.
According to The Diet Channel, the top excuse for avoiding exercise is “I don’t have time.” Aren’t there many more productive, healthy ways for these people to spend 7 hours of a Saturday rather than standing in line to become a contestant on a televised game show? Like, I don’t know, maybe going to the gym to exercise and lose weight so they’re not standing in line for a game show about losing weight…
