The Chicago Tribune has a continually updated page from reporters out in the field today at various shopping centers and have a couple pretty nice gems.

Liz Weigel, from Chicago’s Beverly neighborhood, was trying on black pumps. She and her mother always come downtown the Friday after Thanksgiving.

This year, “we are doing more shopping for ourselves and getting fewer gifts for other people,” she said, noting some very good prices in the first-floor shoe department.
