Why McCain isn’t dead yet

The polls may show a big lead for Obama and the press may be writing McCain off as dead in the water, but one lady’s quote at an Obama campaign stop in North Carolina illustrates how Sarah Palin was picked to appeal to a certain type of voter:

A group of six retired women said they were mostly Democrats — but mostly undecided about how to vote. “I have to pray about it, think about what’s best for our country,” said Dorothy Buie, one of the women. [Swamp]

If these women can be undecided two weeks before election day, it’s probably safe to assume they haven’t been paying attention to the issues and investigating on their own.

With that said, when these women are in the booth with no one looking, are they going to choose the dark-skinned man who McCain’s campaign has been saying is friends with terrorists for the past couple weeks, or the old white man and his white “Christian” woman running mate?
