This hit by Patrice Cormier is absolutely deplorable and he deserves to be gone for the season, if not longer. I am amazed that a player who has developed a reputation for dirty hits would be allowed to wear the captain’s C on his country’s jersey like he did for Canada during World Junior Tournament.

And not to make light of a horrible situation, as I hope Mikael Tam makes a full recovery, but while this is a hit that needs a strong suspension, it’s kind of laughable that Patrick Roy would file a police complaint against Cormier. It’s not like he attacked and beat someone senseless who refused to fight back.
