“It concerns me that this many shots were fired with children present… in close proximity to children.” - David Cerda, in reference to the cougar that was killed in Chicago last night.

What I don’t get is why everyone is always out to get the Chicago Police Department. I, for one, don’t know too many parents who live in the city that would allow their children to walk alone two blocks to the playground, let alone to play in a back alley. And, like Mayor Daley, I would also be willing to bet that if this cougar had attacked a person, Mr. Cerda and the like would be screaming about the police not doing enough to stop the animal. Cops just can’t win.

My hat’s off to the officers who had the stones to corner a fucking cougar and take it down.
