Cops: Feud between drivers led to killing of cyclist ›

A bicyclist was killed on the Northwest Side when he got caught in an altercation between two drivers who were ramming each other on West Diversey, authorities say.

Jepson Livingston was biking through Logan Square Tuesday, on his way to fill out job applications, when one of the vehicles — a van — suddenly veered into him in the 3800 block of West Diversey, according to police.

Police were interviewing a “person of interest” in the investigation, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli, but no charges had been filed in the case this afternoon.

The 32-year-old native Chicagoan was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead after half an hour after the accident.

The driver ditched the van near the scene and fled on foot, police said.

Yet another ghost bike needed in Chicago. This just goes to show how vulerable we are when a couple of assholes decide to use their one-ton steel boxes as weapons.
