Episode 9, the penultimate episode, of The Wire is amazing, there’s five* ridiculously compelling moments in a twenty minute span.

I know it’s a really trite and very much overkill to talk about how good The Wire is, but I think it meets, for the most part, all the expectations that are set by the high praise, and it’s not my fault that a lot of the people who like it (and/or create it) are pretentious and unlikable.

*This number went up from two to five as the last ten minutes of the show went by, SO good.

Damn you David Cho! I’ve been doing good all season about not watching until Sunday night just so it’s that much better, but I was already thinking after seeing the trailer for Episode 9 that I would probably cave and watch it On Demand. Now, I guess it’s a sure thing.
