Glenn Beck thinks arming citizens prevents people being beat to death.
I hate Glenn Beck as much as the next person, but he is actually making sense here.
If you live in Chicago proper and someone breaks into your home in the middle of the night with a gun and you beat them to the draw and shoot them dead with a handgun that otherwise would never leave your nightstand, you could still be the one who ends up in prison for unlawful use of a weapon and a slew of other charges.
It’s not law abiding citizens who are running around killing people with guns on the South and West sides of the city, but it is law abiding citizens who become innocent victims when they should have the opportunity to protect themselves.
I’m not arguing for concealed carry, but shouldn’t people be able to protect their own homes with an easily accessible weapon?
