Pwnage, for real. My friend Mick was on Chicago Tonight Wednesday discussing the city’s meter privatization deal, which was pretty much done illegally. He tells the alderman what’s what. (The 11 min. mark is where it gets really good.)
Mick rules in general, and if you have an interest in Chicago politics, you should read his stuff.
Mick is such a bad ass. And yes, the 11:00 mark FTW.
Mick: He [the inspector general] did more research than the city council.
Ald. Stone [trying to talk over Mick]: Please, that’s not true.
Mick: How much research did you do into the privatization of parking meters?
Ald. Stone: I did a lot of research on it!
Mick: What did you do?
Ald. Stone: That’s none of your damn business.
Mick: It is. You’re a public official, so you’re representing the people of Chicago.
[Cut to lawyer filing lawsuit against the city with incredulous look on his face.]
