On saving someone’s day, then wasting good karma
Driving home from taking a few photos this afternoon I saw a guy running down the road, shirtless and carrying a backpack in his arms instead of on his back — I assume to keep his shoulders from chafing. At one point he swung it from one arm to another and something dropped out of the bag but he kept on going without noticing. As I passed I saw that it was his wallet, so I pulled over and got out, picked it up, got back in my car and pulled up alongside him with his wallet sticking out the window. He stopped and thanked me profusely, shook my hand and said how awesome of a thing it was for me to do that instead of just keep on driving and let it sit in the road. Total karma points for me, I thought.
Then I walked into the house and killed a huge-ass fly.
