Wanna see what can happen if you simply refuse to allow Border Patrol agents—who aren’t at the border, mind you, but 50 miles from it—to search your car during a suspicionless checkpoint stop?
Here’s his description of the incident and another videotaped encounter. The second encounter is 27 minutes long, but there are some very interesting tidbits, especially around 7:45 when an agent says “in the Border Patrol checkpoint, the person’s rights doesn’t matter here” and around 19:00 where he says they only need to have “mere suspicion” of illegal activity to search his vehicle but that he has “no idea” what illegal activity the driver is committing.
