the blackhawks v. canucks series is over thanks to patrick kane and the rest of chicago’s young talent. game 6 was great, and featured a highlight reel hat-trick by patrick kane, but the real story of the game is the “meal ticket,” as hockey night in canada announcers call roberto luongo, giving up 7 goals. this chicago team is for real. when a team is young, as they are, people continue to talk about them as a future contender, who “just needs some playoff experience.” well, they just took down a canucks team with plenty of experience, and the team that i just watched in these playoffs, and now cemented with a trip to the conference finals, looks like a current contender. here’s to a wings v. hawks western conference finals.
